World Championships medalist and Italian national record holder Fabio Scozzoli will continue his comeback from knee surgery competing at several upcoming meets. Scozzoli will be competing this weekend at the at the 23rd Meeting of Saint Dizier where he will be swimming the 50 and 100 breaststroke, the 50 and 100 butterfly along with the 100 IM and 50 backstroke.
He will then take part in the Bolzano International Meet in Bolzano, Italy which will run on November 8th and 9th. Scozzoli has had a tremendous amount of success at this meet in the past and will be looking for similar results at this year’s addition.
Scozzoli is also currently on the list of Italian swimmers who are set to compete at the World Short Course Championships in Doha. The Italian will go in as the reigning 100 breaststroke world champion.
Scozzoli underwent ACL surgery on his right knee in September of 2013 and has had a strong recovery period. He competed in the Singapore Swimming winning gold in the men’s 100 breaststroke. He also competed in the World Cup stops in both Doha and Dubai. Winning the silver in the 50 breaststroke in Doha and the silver in both the 50 and 100 breaststroke in Dubai.
It was also announced that Ryan Lochte, Amanda Weir and Arkady Vyatchanin will be competing at the meet in Bolzano.
