Like the Chinese continued to roll in diving, the Russians did the same in synchronized swimming on day 7 in Budapest.
The duo of Svetlana Kolesnichenko and Alexandra Patskevich won gold in the Duet Free Final with a score of 97.0000, clearing the Chinese and the Ukrainians. The top three countries remained the exact same as two years ago in Kazan, though the Ukraine’s Anna Voloshyna was the only returning athlete.
Kolesnichenko now owns 4 gold medals from these World Championships, while Patskevich holds three.
China’s Jiang Tingting and Jiang Wenwen scored 95.3000 for that silver, while Voloshyna and Yelyzaveta Yakhno put up a score of 93.2667 for bronze, edging out Japan (93.1333).
