Above, watch as Destin Lasco breaks his 2nd National Age Group Record in as many days at the Middle Atlantic Junior Olympic Age Group Championships. He swam a 52.32 to break Vinny Marciano’s recently done, and still unratified, 52.37 from the night before elsewhere in the Garden State.
Above, watch Lasco. He swims with more vigor than he did in his incredibly relaxed 200 backstroke on Friday night, but there’s still very much a sense of ‘easy speed’ to his race.
See the 200 backstroke swim below.

Destin just broke the record for 50 back with a 24. 56 after doing a 1:57+ 200 IM.
I agree with Bobo 100%.
This is impressive!!
I’m not a specialist but his technique is really close to perfection.
He looks so easy.
And with great underwaters too.
I hope his coach will also post a video of Mr Lasco on freestyle so we can appreciate his smooth technique.
If he can grow a few inches in the next years, he will be insanely fast and ready to dominate the world.
