HANOVER, N.H. – The Northeastern swimming and diving team swept the competition at the Tate Ramsden Invitational, competing against Dartmouth and UMass.
The Huskies bested the hosts Dartmouth 171.00-134.00 and defeated UMass 191.00-130.00
Hannah Seward finished first in the 100 fly (55.78) and the 200 free (1:53.47) for her second consecutive meet with multiple first place finishes.

Starting the day in the 100 fly, the Huskies took the three top spots. Following Seward, Jamie Koo came in second at 56.12 and Marcela Scaramuzza came in third at 57.12.

In the 400 IM, Devon Muldoon finished second at 4:34.43, while Francesca Arciniegas finished fifth at 4:45.78.

In the 200 free, Seward picked up her second win of the day and Grace Miller finished fourth at 1:56.41.

Moving on, in the 100 breast, the Huskies took all five of the top spots. Scaramuzza led the way in first at 1:06.41, while Stella Urness followed in second at 1:08.49. Elisabeth Bendall (1:08.65), Nicole Linell (1:08.75) and Lena Wang (1:09.28) took the 3-5 spots.

In the 100 back, Anna Verlander added to her freshman campaign by taking first at 55.90. While Teagan Osga (57.43) and Kate Cosgrove (57.86) followed close behind in second and third, respectively.

The 200-yard medley relay saw the Huskies take the top two spots. Osga, Urness, Koo and Cambria Semmen finished in first at 1:45.89, while Verlander, Scaramuzza, Seward, Kotoko Blair came in second at 1:46.20

In the 1M dive, Erin Murphy finished second with a season-best score of 281.65. Lauren O’Sullivan came in fourth at 256.35 and Lizzie Meschisen posted a season best at 255.60.

In the 1650 free, Mary Banick finished third at 18:11.85, while Grace Miller followed in fifth place at 18:19.87.

Muldoon led the way in the 200 back, finishing in second place at 2:02.28. Verlander finished third at 2:04.13 and Osga finished in fourth with her season-best time of 2:04.26
The Huskies will be back in action at Boston University for the Boston Winter Open from Feb. 3-4.

HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men’s swimming and diving team clinched a 229-103 victory over UMass on the final day of the Tate Ramsden Invitational Saturday at Karl Michael Pool.
Eddy Chen earned a meet record in the 100 breast with a personal-best time of 55.97 seconds, which is good for fourth all-time in program history. Chen posted another meet record in the 200 breast at 2:01.96. He was also part of the meet-record-breaking 200 medley relay squad alongside Joe Moll, Alexander Ye and Tim Park.
Colton Rasmussen, Tim Cushman, Moll and Park established a new meet record in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:03.29. The same four swam the 200 free relay on Friday and toppled a meet record as Dartmouth earned five between both days of the Tate Ramsden Invitational.
In total, the Big Green won 15 events in the entirety of the invitational, including all but one swimming event. Moll opened the first session with a victory in the 100 fly, touching the wall in 49.31 seconds. Shortly after, Ye dominated in the 400 IM with a time of 4:02.95. Yan Dvoretskiy followed it up with a first-place performance in the 200 free at 1:39.58. Dartmouth had each of the top four finishers in the 100 breast, led by Chen’s meet-record time. Cushman, who was honored prior to the start of the opening session as part of a three-member senior class, won the 100 back in 50.98 seconds. A record-breaking 200 medley relay closed Session 1 followed as Session 1 came to a close.
Ye won the 200 back in the beginning of the second session with a time of 1:53.42. Park led four Dartmouth swimmers at the top of the 100 free at 46.41 seconds. Chen’s record-breaking performance in the 200 breast followed. Dvoretskiy’s time of 1:48.98 earned first in the 200 fly, which also feature four Big Green athletes at the top. The stellar 400 free relay victory rounded out the hosts’ victories.
Everett Tai, who qualified for NCAA Zone Championships on Friday, placed second on the 3-meter board with a score of 332.75.
Dartmouth is back home on Saturday, Feb. 4 to host Columbia in conference action at 12 p.m. It’s the final meet before the Ivy League Championships, which begin Friday, Feb. 22 in Providence, R.I.
