NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara University men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs earned 2015 Spring College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSAA) Scholar All-America Team honors announced Tuesday.

The Team Scholar All American Award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester and again in the spring to recognize teams achieving a 3.0 in the semester coinciding with the NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA/CCCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

The women’s team, which earned Fall Team Scholar All-America honors with a 3.48 GPA, compiled a 3.34 GPA in the spring semester, while the men’s team had a 3.11 GPA.
Both programs have had an outstanding recent run in academic success. Each program’s multiyear Academic Progress Rate (APR) score, announced in May, was higher than the national average – women’s swimming and diving (990) and men’s swimming and diving (979).
