Marshall Announces Addition Of Shelby Bartlett As Diving Coach

The Marshall University swimming and diving program and head coach Bill Tramel has announced the addition of Shelby Bartlett as the new diving coach.

“I’m tremendously impressed with Shelby’s excitement and passion for the sport,” head coach Bill Tramel said. “She has coached divers at the highest level in club and is ready to move up to the collegiate ranks, a role that she is familiar with after finding success during her four-year career at the University of Arkansas. I’m very excited to have Shelby join our staff and continue our success with the diving program.”

Bartlett joins the Thundering Herd after stints with the Fishers Diving Club (2010-14, 2017) in Fishers, Ind., and the Razorback Diving Club (2014-16) in Fayetteville, Ark. She coached the national level divers with the Fishers Diving Club, while taking five divers to the AAU National meet and achieving the national championship on the platform. During her time with the Razorback Diving Club, Bartlett coached beginner level divers through elite divers. She coached local high school divers to finish first through fourth in the Arkansas Girls State Meet.

“I’m really excited to be here at Marshall University,” Bartlett said. “I’m ready to get the season started to learn a little bit more about our student-athletes and improve their diving abilities.”

Bartlett graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelors in Recreation and Sports Management. She was a four-year letter winner of the swimming and diving program. Bartlett qualified for NCAA Zone D Diving Championships as a junior and senior.

Prior to college, Bartlett was named the Indiana High School Swimmer/Diver of the Year in 2012. She was also a junior national qualifier in 2010 and 2011.
