Missouri standout Liam Holt probably oughtta buy a cowboy hat, as he has given his verbal commitment to swim for the University of Wyoming in 2015-16. Liam attends Carl Junction High School and is a product of the Jasper County Killer Whales. He was named to the Academic All-America list in 2013 and hopes to pursue a degree in Petroleum Engineering.
Holt is a USA Winter National qualifier in the 100 and 200 breaststroke and has earned as high as bronze and silver medals in those races respectively at the Central Section Region VIII Championships. Holt was also the top amateur in the breaststrokes at the Chesapeake Elite Pro-Am in 2013, but shows versatility with strong fly, IM and mid-distance freestyle times that hint he may be much more than a one-trick pony for the Cowboys in the Western Athletic Conference..
“Wyoming University is the perfect fit, from the moment I was on campus it just felt right,” Holt commented via email. “TJ his coaches and the faculty at UW are the BEST ! The team made me feel like they really wanted me to be a part of the COWBOY FAMILY. I am looking forward to the Fall of 2015, GO POKES!”
