PHILADELPHIA — The Stony Brook swimming and diving team earned six event wins but fell to La Salle, 170-129 on Saturday afternoon at Kirk Pool.

“Today’s meet was another chance for us to learn how to travel and prepare to race. We had some obstacles arise during travel and it’s through these moments that you have to learn how to adapt physically and mentally to be at your best. It’s another meet that showed we are headed in the right direction.”
Highlights
- Michal Liberman (Rosh Haayin, Israel) tallied two individual wins and was part of two winning relays.
- Liberman earned individual victories in the 100-yard backstroke (58.68) and the 100 butterfly (57.90).
- Jessica Salmon (Rexford, N.Y.) notched two individual wins and a relay victory on the day. She won the 100 breastroke (1:07.42) and the 200 breaststroke (2:27.26).
- Liberman, Salmon, Maddy Enda (Chino Hills, Calif.) and Reagan MacDonald (Ottawa, Ontario) earned first place in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:56.24.
- Haille Bogumil (Bradenton, Fla.), Emma Waechter (Lewison, N.Y.), Liberman and Enda picked up a victory in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:42.13.
- MacDonald finished second in the 100 backstroke (59.24) and the 200 backstroke (2:06.30).
- Enda placed second in the 200 butterfly at 2:07.01 and the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:19.70.
- On the boards, Emma DeMottie (Miller Place, N.Y.) placed fourth in both the one-meter (163.65) and the three-meter (150.00).
- Stephanie Reiter (Howard Beach, N.Y.) finished fifth in both the one-meter (159.08) and the three-meter (149.18), while Valerie Reiter (Howard Beach, N.Y.) placed sixth in the one-meter (155.48) and the three-meter (147.30).

PHILADELPHIA – Women’s swimming & diving picked up its second victory of the season, beating Stony Brook 170-129 as part of a tri-meet that also included NJIT’s men’s team. La Salle powered its way to victory behind 10 first-place results.
MEET NOTES
- Sophomore Sara Rizzetto led the way for the Explorers with three top finishes: the 200 Free (1:54.13), the 200 Back (2:05.54) and the 200 IM (2:08.77).
- Classmate Phoebe Shaya was the other Explorer with multiple first-place results on Saturday. She took the 1-meter with a score of 252.68 and then the 3-meter with 267.38.
- Freshmen standouts: Nina Kolodgie and Brynn Peterson both recorded first-place times. Kolodgie touched before everyone else in the 1000 Free (11:04.25) and Peterson in the 100 Free (54.01).
- Other first-place finishers include senior Emily Wolbert in the 200 Fly (2:06.81), sophomore Sarah Wyant in the 50 Free (25.33) and sophomore Anne Moser in the 500 Free (5:15.03).
- Freshman watch: other than Kolodgie and Peterson, rookies Erica Kenski and Lauren Fenn impressed. Kenski took second in the 1-meter and third in the 3-meter, while Fenn placed second in the 50 Free and third in the 100 Back.
