Kate Douglass ne new American Record set kiya Doha mein huye competition ke final night mein jab unhone women’s 50 freestyle event mein 23.91 ki timing ke sath wall touched kar diya.

Douglass ki is swim ne Simone Manuel ke American Record 23.97 ko break kiya jise Manuel ne  swam kiya tha aur bronze medal bhi jeeta tha  2017 World Championships, Budapest, Hungary mein.

Koi bhi other American Manuel ke under 24-second ke mark ke agal bagal bhi nhi tha ab tak par aaj Douglass ne ye record hi break kar diya. Meet mei aate time Douglass ka personal best time tha 24.40 jo ki unhone May 2023 mein swam kiya tha. Usi swim ne unhe #9 American all-time bana diya tha. Douglass ab prelims mein apne 24.19 ki timing ke sath 5th fastest American all-time bann chuki hai.

Douglass ki is swim ne unhe is event mein all-time ka 8th fastest swimmer bana diya hai.
