CAQ Associate Head Coach

Charger Aquatics is seeking an experienced, dynamic and positive individual for the position of Associate Head Coach. This position is responsible for serving as Lead Coach for the Senior Regional and Age Group Regional practice groups, as well as performing administrative duties. The Associate Head Coach will also serve as the Meet Director/Coordinator for all CAQ-hosted Events, as well as Coordinator for the CAQ Strength & Conditioning Program. Essential Functions

• Act as the Primary Coach for the Senior Regional and Age Group Regional practice groups.

Education

Gamecock Aquatics Senior Lead Coach

The Senior Lead Coach position is an important role in the makeup of the club as a whole and it focuses on the development and mentoring of the Senior swimmers between the ages of 14 and 18 (mainly HS swimmers). The job requires a person who is very disciplined and organized, and who has great communication and people skills and also a deep knowledge of competitive swimming. Duties and responsibilities of the Senior Lead Coach include but are not limited to the following:

• Attend all practices. Vacations must be coordinated to fall during team breaks.
• Develop season plans in coordination with Head Coach.
• Write daily practices and coordinate with support coach(es) as needed to achieve practice goals.

• Recruiting experience at a D1 level with student-athletes that are at a high-academic and high-athletic level.

 

• Three (3) year’s experience coaching swimming at the college or university level or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.

 

• Knowledge and ability to organize, implement and develop a men’s and women’s swimming and diving program as competed at the collegiate level.

 

• Ability to follow work schedule as outlined by Head Coach and department.

• Review program expenses on a quarterly basis as it relates to staffing needs and services provided to the membership and make recommendations to the Executive Director for setting the monthly dues for the various programing options
