Job Summary:

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate activities through the Head Coach, including, but not limited to:

 

  • Recruiting – Identify prospective student-athletes who meet Rollins College’s academic standards; contacting (email, phone, mail, social media) prospective recruits, families, and coaches; arrange campus visits for recruits; and develop recruiting materials.
  • On-deck coaching to swimming student athletes.

  • Data collection and management.

  • Counsel student athletes in sport participation, personal development, and monitor student-athlete academic success.

Minimum Qualifications & Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University or College.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, or ability to obtain a Florida driver’s license within 30 days of accepting the job, and acceptable motor vehicle record.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Coaching experience at the collegiate level.
  • Lifeguard/CPR/AED Certification.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

  • Proven record of integrity, high principles and demonstrated skill in developing and motivating student athletes academically and athletically.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or a combination of training and work experience at a level that equates to an advanced degree;
  • Demonstrated experience coaching at the college level and/or professional experience in the field of swim;
  • Knowledge and understanding of Atlantic 10, and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Rules and Regulations;
  • Solid demonstrated knowledge of the sport, including rules, strategies, and techniques;
