James Madison University has hired Jacy Dyer as the program’s new assistant coach. Dyer had been the assistant coach for the Toledo women’s program for three years before leaving that job earlier this summer.
She takes over the vacancy opened when Dane Pedersen was promoted to interim head coach of the program. That appointment came when Richard Long unexpectedly stepped down.
Toledo was Dyer’s first NCAA job after graduating from the same school with a psychology degree in 2011. The move was a natural one for her, as during her undergrad career she set school records in the 200, 500, 1000, and 1650 freestyles; plus as a part of the 400 and 800 free relays.
