Horned Frogs Head to College Station to Face Texas A&M, Rice

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – TCU swimming and diving will travel to College Station for the team’s final road meet of the 2018 calendar year on Saturday when the Horned Frogs take on Texas A&M and Rice in double dual meet action.

MEET INFO
The meet is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. in Texas A&M’s Rec Center Natatorium. A live stream will be available via WatchESPN and live results will be available via SIDEARM stats.

TCU will take on its highest ranked opponent of the regular season in Texas A&M, whose women rank No.6 and men rank No.12 in the latest CSCAA Coaches’ poll. The Horned Frogs last competed in College Station in the 2015-2016 season at the Aggie Invitational where the men finished 7th and the women finished 10th.

Saturday will be the first time TCU has competed against Rice since November of 2011, when the Horned Frogs defeated the Owls 159-126.

LAST TIME OUT
TCU’s divers competed at the Texas Diving Invitational where the team had a strong showing on day two of the meet. Isabella Ashdown was the top performer, finishing 16th and within 25.5 points of a spot in the one-meter finals.

Prior to that, the Horned Frogs hosted Trinity (TX) with the men winning 183-106 and the women winning 180.5-110.5. TCU swept several events, including the women’s 50 breast and the men’s 100 IM. In the 50 breast, Emily Visagie finished in 30.98, followed by Lauren Halliburton and Chloe Miller at 31.10 and 31.20 respectively. Radu Duican won the men’s 100 IM with a 54.41 time, with Kade Knoch following at 54.64, and Tommy Thach finishing third in 54.65. On the boards, Ashdown set her season-best in the one-meter, producing a score of 305.90.
