Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Hollace Stokes, a two-time Florida 4A state champion, has committed to the University of West Florida to continue her swimming career in the fall of 2025. Stokes is a breaststroke and medley specialist and currently attends Windermere High School, where she is the captain of the WHS Swimming and Diving team. She trains with Windermere Laker Aquatics.

“I am so beyond excited and grateful to announce my verbal commitment to pursue both my academic and athletic career at the University of West Florida!! I want to thank my family, friends, coaches and teammates for supporting me through every step of this process! Im so excited to be apart of this team!! GOOO ARGOS💙💚”

Stokes was a Florida 4A state champion (SCY) in 2023 and 2024 in the 200 free relay, posting respective splits of 24.14 and 23.40 as Windermere posted near identical winning times of 1:33.63 and 1:33.35 in back-to-back seasons.

This past season, she also placed 6th in the 100 breast with a time of 1:04.47 and 8th in the 200 IM (2:06.34). Her finals time in the 100 breast, along with her prelims time in the 200 IM of 2:04.49, remain her lifetime bests.

In December 2024, about a month after the FHSAA Class 4A State Championship, Stokes secured her fastest 50 breast time of 29.85 to place 1st at the FL RAFC Winter Classic (SCY). She also made it to the finals in the 100 back (1:02. 87), placing 16th, and the 100 fly (57.55), where she placed 6th. Both were personal bests.

Most recently, Stokes earned her best time in the 200 breast at the Florida Senior Championship (SCY) in March. Her time of 2:18.34 placed 17th overall and qualifies her for the 2025 Futures Championship in Ocala. She posted two other personal bests at the championship, including in the 50 free (24.00) and 100 free (52.43). She placed 16th in the 50 free (24.18) and 20th in the 100 free.

West Florida has a Division II swimming program that competes in the New South Conference. The team placed 1st at the 2025 New South Championships, just like the previous year. Stokes could help continue West Florida’s winning streak. Her fastest 100 breast, 200 breast, and 200 IM times would have qualified for the ‘A’ final at the 2025 championship.

Stokes’s times in the 100 breast, 200 breast, and 200 IM would have all ranked 3rd on the team this season. Stokes can also help West Florida’s 200 medley relay with her 50 breast time of 29.85. The fastest split this season for West Florida was 28.77, held by sophomore Alena Rozova, who posted the fastest 100 breast (1:01.46) and 200 breast (2:14.19) times.

Stokes will join Haylee Hite and Kiki Munna as part of West Florida’s 2025 recruiting class. Both are from Florida. Hite also has a strong time in the 200 IM (2:05.44).
