The CSU Bakersfield men’s swimming and diving team had a home meet against one of the strongest programs in the country today, the University of Hawaii.
“Hawaii is a powerhouse and we really swam great against them today,” said Chris Hansen, CSUB’s Director of swimming and diving. “Lovre Soric had a great meet as did Noah Hultner and Jake Chir. We swam the best we could today. Much better than last weekend. I am proud of the men – we posted some top WAC times today.”
Soric, a senior from Croatia, won the 200 free with a time of 1:42.44, also swam a 1:54.19 to win the 200 IM and finished second in the 100 free (46.33).
Sophomore Noah Hultner from San Diego won the 1000 free with a time of 9:41.70.
Chir finished second in the 100 breast (56.66) and third in the 200 breast (2.07.28).
`Runners freshman Adam Estrella finished second in both the one meter and the three meter diving competition.
The `Runners are back in action Saturday, Nov. 4 at 12 p.m. when they travel to Riverside in a meet against Cal Baptist.
