Hamish Rose wears many hats. He’s a practicing engineer and an elite swimmer who has competed at the national and international level.
In the above video, he takes on the role of producer, putting together an inside view of what it means to be a Perth City Elite Swimmer training and competing in Western Australia: a growing hub for the sport in the country.
The rapidly growing club formed in July, 2012 when City of Perth and Lawley Aquatic joined forces to form one new super club. While in it’s current form, Perth City is relatively young, it has a rich history from the combination of the oldest and third-oldest clubs in Australia, and enjoys the support of Perth College.
“This success is testament to the nurturing culture at the club, the infrastructure support provided by Perth College, the perseverance and hard work of the athletes, and the dedication of our coaching team,” Rose said about what he was trying to capture in the video.
