Gretchen Walsh on Going 46 in the 100 Fly: “I try to see myself, and our team, as limitless”

2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships

Last night, Gretchen Walsh broke yet another historic barrier in the 100 fly, becoming the first woman to dip under the 47-second barrier when she touched at 46.97. She is now the fastest performer in the event by nearly 1.5 seconds.
