Former CA Swim Coach Arrested, Accused of Sex With Underage Student

A high school physical education teacher and former swim coach in California has been arrested and charged with having sex with an underage student.

Corine “Cory” Audiat was arrested over Thanksgiving weekend and charged with six felonies. The 32-year-old Audiat (who also goes by “Corine Audiat-Gee”) was a P.E. teacher at Washington High School in Fremont, California. She had also been a swim coach for nearby Mission San Jose High School and for the Glenmoor Stingrays of the East Bay Swim League.

The East Bay Times reports that Audiat was the subject of a police investigation that stemmed from a tip alleging she had been sexually involved with a male student. Audiat has been place on unpaid administrative leave from her teaching post at the high school. The East Bay Times reports that the alleged incidents happened in May and June, shortly after the California school year finished, and that she first began communicating with the alleged victim early in the 2016 calendar year. She is charged with felony contacting a minor for sex, unlawful sex with a minor, oral copulation with a minor, sending harmful material to a minor with sexual intent and misdemeanor child molestation.
