Macaisa hails from Inverness, Florida and competes with the Central Florida Marlins in club meets, where she is both a Winter Juniors and Futures qualifier
Macaisa attends Lecanto High School where she is a Florida High School State Championship meet finalist. At the 2019 FHSAA 3A District 4 Championships, Macaisa took gold in the 100 fly (59.02) and earned silver in the 50 free (25.30). She finished 5th at state this weekend in the 100 fly (57.02) after missing the finals in the 50 free by 1 place. This was Lecanto High’s first year in Class 3A after moving up from Class 2A, where Macaisa was 4th in the 100 fly last season.
Florida Gulf Coast competes in the CCSA conference where the Eagles earned 2nd place as a team last season. Macaisa’s best times already put her in a good place to score next year as a freshman. Her best times in the 50 free would place her in C-final, her 100 fly and 100/200 free times would land her in B-final, while her 200 fly time would place her in A-final based on the 2019 championship times. Macaisa is joined in the class of 2020 at FGCU by Emma Hixenbaugh, Rebecca Winn, and Emily Merton.
