Hi! We’re Brennan and Rosie (Zavaros) Balogh. We were both collegiate D1 swimmers who competed our four years at the University of Florida and served as captains our senior years. Fast forward several years, we are now happily married living in Wisconsin.
Throughout our swimming careers, we found swim paddles had much to be desired. Post-swimming, we put a combination of engineering, swimming knowledge, and consumer needs together to create a line of swim paddles. With the advantage of self testing, we were constantly altering our products through our knowledge of what a “good” stroke looks and feels like. It was important to us that our paddles amplified and supported a good stroke, rather than hindering it like some equipment. We immediately received encouraging feedback from current Olympic and national-level swimmers as the paddles assisted their training and success in the pool.
Why Ripple?
One of the biggest questions asked by swimmers is “What can I do to separate myself from my competitors?” From competitive swimming, to coaching, our products uniquely carry two decades worth of meticulous observation and awareness of what separates great athletes’ strokes and training abilities from the average.
The reality is that there is no simple, one-size-fits-all answer to this question. If there were, every athlete would be achieving success with ease. The true answer, however, lies in the subtle details that many athletes either overlook or are not willing to consistently incorporate into their training. Success comes from consistently applying these small but critical elements over time.
While our products will not turn an athlete into an Olympic contender overnight, we have designed them to ensure that athletes are performing the finer details of their strokes correctly. These small adjustments can make a significant difference over time, helping to build a strong foundation for long-term success.
While many paddles can boost speed in the short term, they may promote improper technique over time, resulting in dropped elbows, shoulder discomfort, and decreased stroke efficiency. Ripple paddles are designed to promote long-term technique with a lightweight, durable build. Their shape and angle ensure proper entry, helping swimmers maintain form. Whether your focus is speed, technique, or power, we have a paddle for you!
