Duncan Scott of the London Roar has dropped out of the 200 fly on day 2 of the European Derby competition at the London Aquatics Center, which breaks up a potentially-dastardly triple that he was set for at the end of the day.

That was one of a number of changes involving Scott and the London Roar on the day. James Guy will also take Scott’s spot in the men’s 400 free, Scott will then take Vini Lanza‘s spot in the men’s 200 IM, Lanza will take Guy’s spot in the 50 fly, and Lanza will also take Scott’s spot in the 200 fly. In summation, Lanza will race the 50 and 200 fly, Scott will race the 100 free, 200 IM, mixed 400 free relay, and the skins race, and Guy will race the 400 free and 200 fly.

Other Day 2 Changes, in Brief:

  • Silvia Di Pietro in for Federica Pellegrini in women’s 100 free (AQUA CENTURIONS)
  • Femke Heemskerk in for Kayla Sanchez in women’s 100 free in spite of Sanchez’s win in the 200 free. The kickback comes when Sanchez hops in for Heemskerk in the skins event. (ENERGY STANDARD)
  • Kierra Smith in for Kayla Van der Merwe in 100 breast (ENERGY STANDARD)
  • Sarah Vasey in for Sydney Pickrem in 100 breast (LONDON ROAR)
  • Adam Telegdy in for Dominik Kozma in men’s 400 free (IRON)
  • Jeanette Ottesen in for Holly Barratt in 50 fly (LONDON ROAR)
  • Maria Ugolkova in for Katinka Hosszu in 100 back (IRON)
  • Holly Hibbott in for Emma McKeon in 200 fly, while McKeon once again takes Bronte Campbell’s spot in the skins race (this has been a pattern at every meet this season) (LONDON ROAR)
  • Silvia di Pietro in for Lidon Munoz in women’s skins (AQUA CENTURIONS)
  • Pieter Timmers in for Szebastian Szabo in men’s skins (IRON)
