Wisconsin senior Drew teDuits wanted to go out with a bang at his last dual meet in Madison, breaking his second pool record in two days. The Badgers honored their senior class in their last dual meet of the season against UW-Green Bay.
The biggest swim of the day came from teDuits in the 100 backstroke. His time of 47.45 broke a pool record that has been around for 11 years. After breaking the 200 backstroke last night, I’d say he is in great shape going into the Big Ten Championships and the NCAA Championships. On the women’s side, senior Ivy Martin claimed the top spot in the women’s 100 backstroke at 54.75.
Seniors Aja Van Hout and Damon Zito each captured first place points on their senior nights in the 50 freestyles. Van Hout won the women’s race at 23.84 and Zito touched first at 20.62. Nick Caldwell picked up a victory, winning the 200 butterfly at 1:49.86, and Katie Delaney won the 1000 at 10:28.97.
After breaking the 200 breaststroke pool record last night, senior Nick Schaefer almost broke the 100 breaststroke pool record today, touching at 54.59. He was only .03 off of the 54.56 pool record.
The Wisconsin men beat the UW-Green Bay men by a score of 167-126. The women’s meet was also won by the Badgers with a score of 160-130.

The next meet for the Badgers will be the 2015 Women’s Big Ten Championships, which take place in Columbus, Ohio, Feb. 18 to 21. The 2015 Men’s Big Ten Championships follow Feb. 25-28 in Iowa City, Iowa.
