Kyriakos Peristeridis, a current high school senior from Kalamazoo, Michigan, has committed to swim for Division II Florida Southern College. Peristeridis will graduate from high school spring 2020 and join the Mocs’ class of 2024.
Peristeridis, a distance freestyle specialist, currently swims for Southwest Y Michigan Swimming. Peristeridis was a finalist at both the Speedo Champions series and Indianapolis Sectionals this year. He was also a 2018 USA Swimming All-American.
He will be joining his older brother Theo Peristeridis, a current sophomore and butterfly/IM specialist, at Florida Southern.

I’m looking forward to the incredible combination of rigorous academic and athletic programs offered at FSC, and spending the next four years as a MOC! Go MOCS!”
With his current best times, Peristeridis would have placed 3rd in the 500 freestyle (4:27.51) and 7th in both the 200 freestyle (1:39.84) and 1650 freestyle (15:45.21) at the 2019 Sunshine State Conference Championships.
At the SSC Championships, the Mocs placed 3rd as a team.
Peristeridis will begin his swimming career at Florida Southern College beginning fall 2020.
