Anyone heard about this?
““I feel really happy right now,” Franklin said after the backstroke final. She said she considered dropping out of the freestyle race but that she wanted to be eligible for the 4 X 200-meter relay in London, so she stuck with the difficult double. The top four finishers in the 200 free make the U.S. team.”

I would be devastated if Missy does not swim this event individually in london

Braden and Garrett, not a dis to the other contributors, but I like the commentary between you two. It is more substantive and natural, especially you Braden, who haven’t had a chance to give much input when it’s a 4 man platform.

This is clearly the women’s night! The finals of the 200 Free and 200 IM are going to be fierce. I’m anticipating a great duel between Franklin and Schmitt. I don’t think either of those two is going to play cat ‘n mouse a la Phelps/Lochte last night. Volmer could ride those two to a phenominal time as well. I might be getting a little carried away, but the real question to me in 200 IM is whether its going to take a sub 2:09 to make the olympic team. I wouldn’t shock me.

As for the guys, hopefully the 16 semifinalists in the 100 Free drank a red bull in between sessions and are ready to race. I don’t… Read more »
