Daphne Peterson, a current high school junior from West Simsbury, Connecticut, has committed to swim for Division I Northeastern University. Peterson will graduate from Ethel Walker School in spring 2021 and join the Huskies’ class of 2025.
Peterson is a current year-round swimmer for Charter Oak Aquatics. In 2018, Peterson placed 2nd in the 800 LCM freestyle (9:35.15), 400 IM (5:17.22) and 200 butterfly (2:28.54) at the Eastern Zone Age Group Championships.
Earlier this year at the 2020 Connecticut Swimming Senior Championships, Peterson placed 4th in the 1650 freestyle (17:17.92).

At the 2020 CAA Swimming and Diving Championships with the Huskies, Peterson would have had multiple finals performances with her current best times. Most notably, she would have placed 14th in the 1650 freestyle (17:17.92) and 15th in both the 500 freestyle (4:59.43) and 200 butterfly (2:07.37).

Earlier this year at the CCA Championships, the Huskies placed 7th as a team.
Peterson will begin her swimming career at Northeastern University fall 2021.
