Three records fall over first two days of MIAA Championships to Calvin College’s Waugh, Calvin relay and Kalamazoo’s Edsall
Calvin College broke the men’s 800 free relay conference record, and on the women’s side Erika Waugh broke the 100 backstroke mark twice on Thursday. Kalamazoo also got in on the action with Tristyn Edsall breaking the 50 free record in prelims.

Final Competition for MIT before NEWMAC Champs
MIT’s men’s swimming and diving team raced well on the second day of the non-scoring Wheaton Invitational on Saturday, ending the weekend with multiple wins. Junior Ben Bauchwitz (Hershey, Pa.) led the Cardinal and Gray with three individual wins throughout the day. This meet, which was against Wheaton College, Clark University and WPI, was the last meet that the Engineers will race in until the NEWMAC Championships at the end of this month.
Richter Defends 200 Butterfly Crown at Landmark Conference Championships
Morgan Richter repeated in the 200-yard butterfly tonight at the 2014 Landmark Conference Swimming & Diving Championships. He’s only the second male swimmer in the history of Goucher’s swimming program to have earned three conference titles.

New Paltz, which captured five of the top six finishes in the 200 freestyle, entered the stretch run of the meet with significant momentum.
New Paltz Tops Skidmore Sprint Invitational Title
Cassidy Griger led the way individually for the Hawks, winning the 500 freestyle (5:26.08) and the 100 freestyle (55.17) in addition to placing second in the 50 freestyle (25.77).

Albion put the exclamation point on a dual season in which it won four of five dual meets against MIAA rivals. The Britons now turn their attention to the league’s championship meet, set for Feb. 12-15 at Calvin College.
DI Navy Sinks JHU
Competing against DI Navy and led by the powerful trio of Bogdanovski, Kitayama and Greenhalgh, the Johns Hopkins Jays posted some fast times in the meet on Wednesday. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to overwhelm the Mids, and Navy triumphed, 137-123 (W) and 135-119 (M).
