Wabash’s Belford claims NCAC Swimmer of Week honor

Wabash junior Jack Belford earned North Coast Athletic Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week honors for his performance in in the Little Giants’ Friday night win over Illinois Wesleyan.

Belford posted two individual victories in addition to assisting the Little Giants’ 200-yard freestyle relay team win. He captured the top spot in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:58.53, followed by a victory in the 100 freestyle (49.46). Belford joined Elliot Johns, Zechariah Banks, and Chris McGue to post the top time in the 200 free relay (1:28.14).

Wabash defeated Illinois Wesleyan 111-71 in the Little Giants’ final home meet of the season.
