Cleveland State to Host Marshall, St Bonnie

The Cleveland State men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will host a series of meets both Friday (Nov. 6) and Saturday (Nov. 7). The women will host Marshall at 5:30 p.m. on Friday in a normal dual-meet format. On Saturday, the women will then host Marshall and St. Bonaventure at 1:00 p.m. in a tri-meet format while the men will host a dual-meet with St. Bonaventure at the same time.

The men will enter the weekend at 2-1 while the women enter 1-3, though both teams are coming off strong wins vs. Gannon last weekend that saw several Vikings take home top finishes. Danny Roberts earned the second-straight Horizon League Swimmer/Diver of the Week for the team as his diving performance (first place in both the 1M and 3M) gave him the honor and Philipp Sikatzki earned swimmer of the week the week before.

For the women, Molly McNamara has started her collegiate career off strong, taking home several first place finishes in various events over the first set of meets. Samantha Sposet and Tori Taffner have been consistent on the dive board while Cassandra Oltman, Claudia Zido, Ashleigh Bennett, Bethany Robertson and Tobie Zeller all won individual events against Gannon.

The Vikings will return to action in a dual meet at Ohio State next Thursday (Nov. 12) at 6:00 p.m.
