QUOTABLE
Head coach Ellie Monobe said: “I’m very pleased right now with where we are at in our championship phase. I think we’re seeing a lot of improvements in how we’re approaching our races and tackling details, so it was nice to see that a lot of the work we’ve put in the last month has started to pay off. Notable swims were Lexi Haymart winning the 1000, I thought she had swam that very smart and strong and Charli Sunahara probably had the best meet in winning both the 100 and 200 breast, posting season-best times. For her to do that at this point in the season is pretty remarkable. We’re very excited to see how things come together for the rest of the group in the next couple of weeks. Tomorrow will be a nice test to see how our training and endurance has stacked up so we’re looking forward to more fast swimming.”

NEXT UP
Pepperdine swimmers will be back in action on Friday, visiting San Diego State at 11 a.m. Pepperdine divers will compete at the Bruin Diving Invite hosted by UCLA on Friday and Sunday.
