Chapman University Receives Commitment From Amelia Vollmar

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Amelia Vollmar, a current high school senior from Orinda, California, has committed to swim for Division III Chapman University under coach Dennis Ploessel. Vollmar will graduate from Campolindo High School in spring 2020 and join the Panthers’ class of 2024.

Vollmar currently swims for Orinda Aquatics as she prepares to swim for Chapman in Orange, CA.

“I’m so excited to announce my decision to swim at Chapman next year! Thank you to my family, friends, and coaches for helping me get to this point. Go Panthers!”

This year at the 2020 SCIAC Swimming and Diving Championships with the Panthers, Vollmar would have placed 17th in the 100 breaststroke with her current best time of 1:12.20.

Best SCY Times:

  • 50 freestyle – 26.13
  • 100 breaststroke – 1:12.20
  • 100 butterfly – 1:01.21
  • 200 IM – 2:21.09
