The Coast Guard Blue Dolphins’ Casie Clark will be wearing green and gold next season, as she’s announced her verbal commitment to join the Northern Michigan women next fall. Clark will make the move to join the Wildcats from her home state of Virginia.

At Northern Michigan, Clark will be joining a top 3 team in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Sports Conference (GLIAC). The women are currently coming off a 3rd place finish at last season’s GLIAC meet.
Clark’s Top Times:
Event | Best Time |
100 breast | 1:08.41 |
200 breast | 2:27.92 |
100 fly | 58.65 |
200 fly | 2:09.98 |
200 IM | 2:11.82 |
400 IM | 4:37.72 |
When she arrives at Northern Michigan, Clark should have an immediate impact for the Wildcats at the GLIAC meet. Her versatility could allow her to score for the team in the breast, free, or fly events.
When comparing her best times to last season’s GLIAC results, the 200 fly is where she would’ve had the biggest impact. Clark has already broken the 2:10-barrier in that event, so she’ll likely find herself in the championship final of that race at conference. Her personal best 2:09.98 is within 2 tenths of the 2:09.82 it took to qualify for the A-final.
Additionally, Clark’s times in the 100 fly, 400 IM, and 200 breast are already good enough to have qualified for the B-final at 2016 GLIACs. She’s also within a few tenths of scoring range in the 100 breast and 200 IM.
