McDonald set up a smartphone to film the inside the women’s locker room. Reports are that the call on the cell phone lasted for about 10 minutes, but that has not been confirmed by the authorities.

“I’m very surprised. This was not predictable,” a team member said. “He never acted strangely with me and I’ve never seen him do that with any other girls on the team.”

According to Gatineau police, the incident took place in the women’s locker room in he Cégep de l’Outaouais’s Gabrielle-Roycampus on Cite-des-Jeunes Boulevard.

After the incident, McDonald was told to stay away from children under the age of 18

McDonald was one of the coaches of the swim team and also was the general manager of Club aquatique de l’Outaouais.

Following the trial, McDonald was charged with two counts of voyeurism.

McDonald’s guilty plea reduced his sentence to two years of probation and community service, and was also ordered to pay a $1,000 victim surcharge.
