Cal’s Acker Wins Pac-12 Swim&Dive Scholar Athlete of the Year (VIDEO)

PAC-12 – WOMEN

In the video above, Cal senior Rachael Acker talks about what it means to be honored as the Pac-12 Women’s Swimming and Diving Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Acker, a French major who’s also on the pre-med track, was the 2013 Pac-12 200 free champion. She also was the lead-off leg for Cal’s 800 free relay in 2014, which went on to win the national title.

This season, Acker finished 8th in the 200 free, 10th in the 100 free, and 23rd in the 50 free at the Pac-12 Champs. She also led off Cal’s runner-up 800 free relay.

Acker is qualified to swim the 200 free at the upcoming NCAA Championships individually, and may be relied upon for relay duties as well.
