High school senior Abby Flood has committed to swim for Division II Rollins College beginning in the fall of 2021.
Flood, who trains with Racer X Aquatics outside of Pittsburgh, swam at the WPIAL Championships for Pine Richland High School during her freshman and sophomore seasons. While she didn’t in the 2019-2020 season as a junior, he still managed to break the minute mark in the 100 fly for the first 4 times of her career, including a 59.52 lifetime best.
She’s been even better in long course, with a 1:06.24 in the 100 fly in a 50 meter pool.

At last year’s Sunshine State Conference Championship meet, the Rollins women finished in 3rd place out of 7 teams, including 8 broken school records. That included a new record of 55.38 by Beatriz Olivieri in the 100 fly, Flood’s best event.
She’s just outside of times that it took to score at last year’s Sunshine State Conference Championship meet. Her best times in the 50 and 100 free, though, would have put her on Rollins’ scoring “B” 400 free relays.
