Brian Uribe, a current high school senior from West New York, New Jersey, has committed to swim for DIII Tufts University beginning in the fall. He will be graduating from high school in the spring of 2021 and will join the Jumbos’ class of 2025.
Uribe is a current swimmer for Scarlet Aquatics where he is a Futures and Speedo Junior Nationals qualifier. The 2018 and 2019 USA Swimming Scholar All-American was a two-time champion in the 400 LCM IM (4:42.19) and the 200 LCM backstroke (2:08.46) at the 2019 New Jersey Swimming Long Course Junior Olympics.
He also won the 200 LCM backstroke with a time of 2:08.32 at the 2019 Speedo Champions Series – Rutgers.

At the 2020 NESCAC Championships with the Jumbos, Uribe would have had multiple finals performances. He would have placed 2nd in the 400 IM (4:00.88), 10th in the 200 IM (1:53.11) and 12th in the 200 backstroke (1:52.95) with his current best times.
His time in the 400 IM would have made him Tuft’s fastest 400 IM’er at that meet.
At this meet, the Tufts men placed 2nd as a team and 29 were given CSCAA Scholar All-American honors.
