DURHAM, N.C. – After earning a spot in the national rankings for the first time in program history last week, the Duke women’s swimming and diving team jumped five spots to No. 17 in Wednesday’s poll released by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
The Blue Devils, who own a 3-0 record on the season and a 2-0 mark in ACC action, joined the men’s team in the nation’s top 20. Both squads are coming off of wins over Florida State and Queens University Oct. 23 and sit atop the ACC standings with two conference wins.
Duke is one of five teams listed in the latest poll, joining top-ranked Virginia, No. 2 North Carolina, No. 7 NC State and No. 12 Louisville.
The Blue Devil women and men return to action Saturday in a 1 p.m. meet with Old Dominion and William & Mary at Taishoff Aquatics Pavilion.
