Kaylin Bing
Kaylin Bing is a 5’10” freestyle specialist from Roseburg, Ore. After attending Roseburg High School, Bing chose to swim for the University of California, Berkeley under Head Coach, Teri McKeaver. Coming out of Oregon, she was the no. one recruit in the state and one of the top 100 in the entire 2011 recruiting class. After spending three seasons as a Cal Bear Bing is currently in her senior year where she’s majoring in Sociology. She has a twin brother, John, and both excelled in swimming. The two even went to local elementary and middle schools in their hometown, Roseburg, in order to get kids interested in swimming and to join The Roseburg Swim Team. Bing made a huge impact on Oregon swimming – she left Roseburg High School as an eight-time State Champion and owns three all-time OSAA records. She’s also been a member of the U.S. National Youth Team.

2011-2012
As a freshman Bing was a member of two relays that earned All-America honors – the second-place 200 freestyle relay and the fifth-place 400 freestyle relay. She also qualified for the NCAA Championships individually where she touched 22nd in the 50 freestyle as well as 42nd in the 200 freestyle.
2012-2013
Bing qualified for the NCAA Championships again, but this time as a sophomore. She was a member of the 400 freestyle relay that won at the Pac 12 Championships. The Bears followed that up at the NCAA Championships by picking up a third-place finish. She also swam on the 200 medley relay that finished second and the 200 freestyle relay that finished fifth, earning her multiple All-America honors.
2013-2014
As a junior Bing was named an honorable mention Pac-12 All-Academic after her performance at the Pac 12 meet and in the classroom. At the NCAA Championships she made the semi-final in the 50 freestyle, placing 11th overall. She also swam relays, finishing second on the 200 freestyle relay and third in the 400 freestyle relay.
2014-2015
As a senior Bing has swum best times in the 100 freestyle and 200 freestyles. She finished sixth in the 50 freestyle at the Pac 12 Championships and also competed in the 200 freestyle, finishing 10th, and third in the 100 freestyle.
International Competition
As a high school swimmer Bing left the high school arena with three Oregon state records, and was the 2011 Oregon high school swimmer of the meet. She’s been a member of the 2010-2011 U.S. National Youth Team. In 2010 she travelled to Spain with the National Junior Team – she finaled in the 50m freestyle finishing 16th and she also swam the 100m freestyle where she touched 43rd overall.
She also competed in the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials at just 15 years old.
