BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving team held its annual Orange Vs. Brown scrimmage on Friday afternoon (Sept. 21) at Cooper Pool.
Team Orange was claimed seven of the 10 events that were held, highlighted by a new meet record set by Ashleigh Franks, Franziska Wohlert, Lauren Sullivan, and Daisy Platts in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The previous record for this freestyle was 1:39:41; Franks, Wohlert, Sullivan, and Plats broke the record by roughly a single second, 1:38.42
Interestingly, six members of the sophomore class finished first in different solo events, hinting that they may be the ones to keep an eye on in competitive dual meets.
BGSU will be in Loretto, PA. on Sept. 28 for their first dual meet of the 2018-19 season. The Falcons will be taking on Saint Francis University.
