US, Australia not attending Youth Programme prior to Short Course Worlds in Doha

Representatives from USA Swimming and Swimming Australia have both told SwimSwam they are not planning to attend the first-ever “Youth Programme” FINA recently announced the week before Short Course World Championships in Doha, Qatar.

Rio without an anti-doping lab, working to open new lab before 2016 Olympic Games

After Rio de Janeiro’s anti-doping lab was stripped of its accreditation by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) last year, Brazil is still without a certified drug testing laboratory two years out from the next Olympics, which it will host.

Georgetown University swimming & diving Head Coach James Holder has announced his 24 student-athlete recruiting class that will begin competition this fall. The class is the second largest to be recruited during Holder’s tenure as head coach at Georgetown.

Voss lowers Y national mark another two seconds, goes 2:10.58 in 200 back at YNats night 4

Erin Voss further obliterated the national record in the 200 back, taking two more seconds off after cutting three from it in prelims. Somerset Valley’s Brad Zdroik and Zack Warner also won two titles apiece on the night and three boys 800 free relays got under the national record.
