Stevens Women Runners Up in ECAC Champs
The Stevens Institute of Technology women’s swimming team took a second-place finish at the 2013 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships at Lehman College in the Bronx with 1,297.50 points. NYU won the event with 1,650.5 points.
Stevens Claims Fourth ECAC Crown
The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s swimming team claimed its fourth-straight Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) title Sunday. The Ducks overcame New York University and finished with 1,741 points.
MIT wins Winter Invite
The Engineers’ swimming and diving ended the MIT Winter Invitational in first place with 1322.5 points, ahead of Keene State, who finished in second place with 980.5 points.
Miami Invite – Day 3, DU Men Continue to Crush the Competition
On the third night of the Miami Invite in Oxford, Ohio, the Denison men locked down their victory, set two additional varsity records and finished atop the standings by over 1,100 points.
Total Performance – Day 3, Quakers Victorious
Of the eight events on Saturday night hosted by Kenyon at the Total Performance Swim Invitational in Gambier, Ohio, two of them ended in Steen Aquatic Center records for the women, and five for the men.
Richter, Craver lead Goucher Gophers Through Yellow Jacket Invitational
Swimming for the Goucher Gophers, Nicole Craver picked up points in all three of her individual events, highlighted by a third place finish in the 200-yard individual medley, to pace Goucher at the Yellow Jacket Invitational this weekend. She was joined by teammate Morgan Richter who continued his assault on the men’s swimming program record book this weekend, breaking his second school mark of the season in the 1650-yard freestyle at the Yellow Jacket Invitational as Goucher registered an eighth place finish at the 11-team meet.
Miami Invite – Day Two, Rosenburg Resets DIII Record. Again.
After a quick preliminary 100 breaststroke in which he broke the Division III National record, Denison’s Damon Rosenburg came back in finals to better his new NCAA record even further. The prelims swim broke a 14 year old Denison school record which had belonged to Aaron Cole. After his drop in finals, Rosenburg also owns the fastest time ever recorded in the 100 breaststroke in 20 years of swimming at the Miami Invitational.
TPSC Invite – Day 2, Six Records Fall
The pool was on fire on the second night of the Total Performance Invitational, hosted by Kenyon College. Over the course of the night’s events, an impressive six pool and meet records fell.
Miami Invite – Day One
It was the Big Red Show tonight at the Miami Invite. After a good start to the three day meet in Oxford, Ohio, the Denison men are sitting in first place among a host of Division I teams (and rival DIII team, Emory) while the women are in third after the day’s two events.
Total Performance Invite – Day One
The Total Performance Invite hosted by Kenyon College in the James A. Steen Aquatic Center got its start tonight. There were only two events in this first session – the 800 freestyle relay and the 1650. Men and women from seven different Division I and Division III teams collected to compete.
Stevens V. The College of New Jersey – Show Down
Stevens Institute of Technology welcomed their rivals The College of New Jersey to Hoboken for an epic-dual meet this past Saturday. The Lions and Ducks renewed their rivalry which has burned hotly since its inception in the 2010-11 season. Going into the meet, the Stevens men had already showcased a victory over DI Saint Peter’s College, and took top honors at the New York University Fall Invite. As one of only two home meets for the Ducks, the tightly contested Stevens-TCNJ meet is one to always get the blood up and pumping.
Ephs Women Top Dutchwomen in Second Dual of Season
Williams’ women proved too dominant a force for Union College at their meet on Saturday. The Ephs won handily, 206-86, taking their winning streak to two. Williams won every event, and were at least 1-2 in everything but the 100 butterfly.

Emory University senior Sarah Greene won a pair of events at the Emory Diving Invitational, including a program-record setting performance in the one-meter dive at the Woodruff Physical Education Center on Saturday afternoon.
MIT Displays Depth in Meet with Bowdoin and Babson
This is only the second meet of MIT’s season, yet the men are off to a tremendous start. On Saturday at Bowdoin College, the MIT men defeated their hosts (215-82) as well as conference foe, Babson College (240-57). Over the course of the meet, MIT took first in 13 of the 17 events. To display depth as well as front end speed, the Engineers went 1-2-3 in eight events, and taking first through fourth in three of those.
