Australia Announces Roster for Junior World Championships

Australia has announced its 30-person roster for the upcoming 2017 FINA Junior World Championships. The Aussies will be sending 12 men and 18 women to the meet, which will take place from August 23rd to August 28th in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Among the stars on the roster is 16-year-old Elijah Winnington, who won 8 gold medals individually at the 2017 Australian Age Championships. Joining him will be 3-time Australian Age Championships gold medalist Nathan Robinson, who dominated the distance races to qualify for the meet, and Australian junior team veteran Molly Batchelor, who showed off her range with success across the sprints and distance races.

To much To early…. let’s hope that we look after these athletes both physically and mentally and that they are all swimming in their early to mid twenties.

Remarkable the presence of Jenna Forrester, just 13 year old.
Two weeks ago, at the Australian Age Champs, she swam 2.01.9 in the 200 free and 4.15 high in the 400 free (besides good times in the Ims and 100 free too).
