Anthony Ervin’s “WORLD CUP PHOTO VAULT” is below!
Right now, right this second, Anthony Ervin’s on a long haul flight from Singapore after swimming his way around the world. We wanted to catch up with the man who netted 9 golds, 5 silvers and 2 bronze, plus an American Record in the short course meters 50 freestyle (20.85), but, alas, he is in the air. Luckily, we did check in with his manager, Emily White, Co-Founder of Whitesmith Entertainment.
“We couldn’t be more proud of Anthony’s performances in and out of the pool on the World Cup tour 2012,” Emily said. “His slew of medals and personal best times topped off by an American Record were thrilling for his global fanbase and supporters to watch from Dubai to Singapore. Beyond speed, Anthony gave back to the swimming communities he traveled to, leading clinics and visiting with youth swimmers at various stops along the way. I know that his fast times and results are bolstered by to the support he felt through all of the positive messages sent by fans via social media and his Indie Go Go fundraiser. We hope that other athletes look to the model of crowd-funding to help achieve their training needs and competition goals as just about everyone has a community of supporters around them, whether they have a gold medal or not.”
When we asked for a teaser of what’s next on Anthony’s calendar, Emily explained, “We’re looking forward to having Anthony back in the U.S. this week for some fun at The Golden Goggles before gearing up for World Championships in Istanbul.”Emily, thanks for the update, and many thanks for the photos!
