Day two of the 2018 Speedo Super Sectionals in Austin, Texas, featured finals for the women’s and men’s 200 free, 100 back, and 400 IM.

Foothills’ Kylie Andrews topped the women’s 200 free in 1:48.85 (25.63/27.53/28.24/27.45). Colorado Springs’ Lainee Jones took second in 1:49.16, followed by Austin Trinity’s 15-year-old Anastasia Fleming in 1:50.51.

The Terrapins’ Alexei Sancov split an impressive 21.78/23.42/23.78/23.82 to win the men’s race in a final time of 1:32.80 — .62 off of Max Rooney‘s 17-18 NAG. Sancov, 18, is now the #3 17-18 performer of all-time. Colorado Springs’ Kyle Leach took second in 1:36.95, followed by Michael Lincoln‘s 1:37.74.

Highlands Ranch’s Natalie Arky went 54.17 (26.06/28.11) to win the 100 back. In second was Pike Peak’s Meredith Rees in 54.28, followed by El Paso’s Miriam Guevara in 54.37. Foothills’ 16-year-old Gavin Olson won the men’s race in 48.05, followed by 15-year-old Harrison Lierz in 48.61. South Metro’s Andrew Trepanier took third in 49.18.

Utah Valley’s Makayla Cazier narrowly bested Highlands Ranch’s Delaney Smith in the women’s 400 IM. Cazier split 59.20/1:05.05/1:15.11/59.38 for a final time of 4:18.74; Smith finished in 4:18.91 (59.99/1:05.40/1:13.75/59.77). In third was Denver Swim Academy’s Ella Kirschke in 4:22.39. TOPS’ William Goodwin won the men’s race in 3:53.92 (53.26/58.53/1:05.79/56.34). Michael Lincoln was second in 3:56.61, followed by TOPS’ Blayze Jessen in 3:56.89.
