Cate Campbell Suffers Mild Ankle Sprain 10 Days Out from Aussie Trials

Australian speedster, Cate Campbell, rattled her Dolphin teammates’ nerves a bit earlier today, as she suffered a mild ankle sprain just ten days out from her country’s national trials.

According to The Australian, in true swimmer-fashion, Campbell sprained her ankle simply crossing the road.  In her own words, Campbell captioned her Twitter photo, “The perils of being a swimmer-everyday activities like crossing the road become hazardous!”  Further, she explained to The Australian that “it’s not too bad, just a sprain, nothing a couple of days rest won’t fix”.

The Australian swimming team will need their super star in top form, as just the top two at domestic trials earn respective spots on the team’s World Championships roster. Australian Trials run April 3-10th in Sydney.
