2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships

We have made it to the final prelims session of the 2025 NCAA Championships, but before the actions starts, we need to know whose swimming.

Florida breaststroker Molly Mayne has scratched out of the 200 breaststroke prelims this morning, where she was seeded 25th overall.

Mayne, a sophomore, was entered in two other events at this meet, the 200 IM and the 100 breast. She ended up declaring a false start in her 200 IM, where she was seeded 55th, on day one. Yesterday, she swam the 100 breaststroke, where she was the 17th seed at 58.89, and she finished 37th overall, more than a second off her best at 59.92.

Mayne would have been the top swimmer before the circle-seeded heats in this morning’s 200 breaststroke, but she will not be swimming the event. Instead, Florida teammate Anita Bottazzo, who was the 26th seed, will take her place as the top-seeded swimmer in the first four heats.
