The final day of the 2025 NCAA Division II Championships is here. We have a fairly light morning for the last prelims session of the meet, featuring the 100 free, 200 back, and 200 breast.
Drury freshman Jonette Laegreid will be racing in the women’s 200 breast today after setting the Division II record in the event earlier this season. Lagreid comes in as the top seed by more than 2 seconds with her record time of 2:08.86.
Similarly, Colorado Mesa junior Agata Naskret broke the women’s 200 back at her conference championship meet last month. Naskret enters with her mark of 1:53.97, making her the top seed by more than 2 seconds.
Lynn 5th year Luna Mertins holds a season best of 48.33 in the women’s 100 free, which puts her just off the DII record of 48.16. She leads the field coming into the meet by half a second.
U Indy freshman Jeremias Pock also has us on record watch in the men’s 200 breast. Pock has already been 1:52.08 this season, which not only makes him the top seed coming into this morning by over 2 seconds, but puts him within half a second of the DII record of 1:51.71, which has stood since 2015.
