FINA has just announced that the second leg of its 2016 Open Water Swimming Grand Prix has been cancelled. The 25k swim was slated to take place on February 7th at Villa Urquiza-Parana in Argentina. No specific details concerning the reason for the cancellation have been provided at this time.
The FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix is a year-round series of marathon swimming competitions taking place around the world. Races range from 15k to 88k in length and additional 2016 stops include Marton Cozumel, Mexico, Lac St. Jean in Canada, Ohrid Lake in Macedonia and Capri-Napoli, Italy.
