Saint Louis has landed Blackline Aquatics breaststroker/butterflier Emily Kishish for their first commitment in the class of 2020.

Kishish’s Top Times (SCY)

  • 100 breast – 1:06.89
  • 200 breast – 2:25.38
  • 100 fly – 58.29
  • 200 fly – 2:10.16

Kishish has been at a 58 in her 100 fly for the last couple seasons, but her breaststroke has taken off recently. Her first time under 1:10 in the 100 breast was March of 2014, and she then dropped her current best of 1:06.89 this past November. Similarly, in the 200, she had never been under 2:30 prior to 2015, but has been under it five times this year.

She swam the breast leg (30.09) on Visitation School’s runner-up medley relay at the MSHSL ‘A’ State Championships in Minnesota, and also grabbed 7th place finishes in the 100 fly and 100 breast.

Kishish isn’t quite ready to score at the Atlantic-10 Champs– she’ll need to be around a 1:05 low and 2:22 in the breaststrokes and a 56 and 2:07 in the butterflies to score in the top-16 format next year. Saint Louis actually graduated ALL of their scorers in Kishish’s best four events, so she’ll be depended on immediately to pick up some slack left behind by last year’s seniors.
