Friday November 7th will mark the start of the 31st North Sea Swim Meet in Rogaland, Norway. The short course meters competition will be held at the Stravanger Swim Hall and host 594 athletes from 86 teams.
During it’s 31 year history the meet has been attended by several top international competitors which include; Ari-Pekka Liukkonen, Sarah Louise Rung, Magdalena Kuras, Ingvild Snildal, Angel Martino, Mette Jacobsen, Jenny Thompson, Marcel Wouda, Antje Buschshulte and Hinkelien Schreuder.
This year will be not different as several of the top Nordic swimmers will be in attendance.
Jeanette Ottesen, European Championships gold medalist, will be swimming the 50 and 100 freestyle as well as the 50 and 100 butterfly.
Rikke Moller Pedersen, Nordic record holder in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke, will swim the 50, 100 and 200 breaststroke.
Pal Joenson, Nordic record holder in the short course 800 freestyle, will compete in the 200, 400 and 800 freestyle.
Ari-Pekka Liukkonen, European Championships bronze medalist, will swim the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle.

- 4 x 50 freestyle relay
Sunday November 9th (Finals 4:00 pm local/10:00 am EST)
- 100 butterfly
- 200 backstroke
- 50 breaststroke
- 100 IM
- 200 freestyle
- 4 x 50 medley relay
