Mill Creek High School senior Kara Powell has committed to swim for Towson University beginning in the fall of 2015. The Hoschton, Georgia native told SwimSwam, “I chose to make Towson University my college home because I loved the energy the team radiated and the passion they had for the sport. In addition, the coaching staff was incredible and seemed to really pour themselves into the program. Towson is also a great fit for me academically as I pursue a major in occupational therapy.”
Powell swims at Athens Bulldogs Swim Club under Harvey Humphries and Jos Smith. A sprint freestyler and backstroker, her top times include:
